Cheap voice actors or affordable voice actors, what's the difference?
Cheap is a race to the bottom: anyone with a microphone bidding lowest. Affordable is a working pro at a fair rate with the middle people taken out. Ours audition to get on the roster, so you get the second kind at a price that looks like the first.
Are the auditions really free?
Yes. Post your script, hand-picked voices record a sample of your actual words, and nothing is charged until you choose one and book. If nobody is right, you owe nothing.
How fast will I hear something?
The first audition usually lands within the hour and a good stack within the day. Once you book, the finished recording is usually back within 24 hours, and many voices turn it round in four.
Are these real people or AI voices?
Real people in real studios. Every audition and every booked recording is performed by a working voice actor, which is exactly why the reads sound like they cost more than they do.
What if the recording isn't what I wanted?
Pick another voice. If the first recording isn't right for the job, you choose a different voice from the roster and the same script is recorded again. Do you have both male and female voice actors?
Both, in every age range, with American, British, Australian and neutral English accents plus Spanish, French, German and dozens more languages. Filter the listing, or describe what you need in a casting and let the right voices come to you.
Do I have to sign up to see the rates?
No. The rate card is public. Go by your word count and where the audio will run and you can cost the whole job before you post it. Nobody bids, so the number does not move.
